On Wednesday, September 11 2019, Host In Ireland with PWC invited over 80 delegates to join us at PwC HQ in Dublin for an event marking the release of Ireland's Data Hosting Industry Q2 report.
Data Centres are the critical infrastructure for our digital economy that is exporting over €69 Billion per year from Ireland. Right now, the Dublin metropolitan area is the largest market in Europe, second largest in the world - ahead of London, Amsterdam, Paris and Frankfurt. With increasing scrutiny on sustainability and the demand for sustainable funds coupled with the exponential rise in data consumption, we have to consider data centres in a new light. How green is green? Are Data Centres part of the problem or the solution? Is this asset class a sustainable investment?
This event delivered timely and accurate information on the global and Irish Data Centre Industries, and explored the opportunities and risks whilst dispelling many of the industry myths.
