Host In Ireland
Host in Ireland is an industry-led initiative specifically developed to generate awareness and recognition of Ireland’s benefits as an optimum location to host digital assets. Executive Committee members evaluate the performance of the initiative, review, monitor and assess the progress, serve as the advocate for their specific partner companies, and gather input from and serve as a liaison with relevant constituencies.
In addition, Executive Committee members provide feedback from the community, provide technical expertise, serve as an independent, unbiased sounding board, and assist in determining important activities. Other responsibilities that members have had as part of the Executive Council include providing guidance to articulate the goals of the initiative, ensuring effective planning, and enhancing the organization’s public standing.
ABB - Country Managing Director
Stephen Doyle is the Managing Director of the Ireland business for ABB, one of the worlds largest power and automation companies. Stephen is responsible for ABB’s operations in Ireland, including an industry-leading portfolio of power, automation and engineered solutions for datacentres. He brings over 20 years of extensive industry experience to the Host in Ireland executive committee.
Stephen holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from DIT and Graduateship of the Marketing Institute of Ireland.

With 15 years of critical environment experience Tommy has established a new start up business in Ireland for CBRE Norland. As Global Account Director for the Data Center Solution Division, Tommy has vast experience mobilising greenfield data centers across 3 continents and the challenges this entails. Technically strong with a focus on human factors and behaviours has enabled him to develop an unrivalled mission critical offering. Industry veteran in data destruction services specialising in end of life data storage equipment and devices. Co-Founder of Circular Data Solutions Ltd the EMEA distribution partners of Security Engineered Machinery Inc manufacturers and suppliers of NSA approved data destruction equipment to Governments and Commercial organisations.
Mike has focused his business on developing ‘in-house’ and managed services for a range of data destruction solutions. Driven by the need for organisations to ensure the chain of custody of their data is not broken.
He is panellist on all matters relating to ‘end of life data’ within a GDPR framework.
Commscope - Sales Director
Adrian has over 30 years of experience in the Telecommunications Industry with CommScope holding key roles in Manufacturing Operations, Product Management, Finance Management, Sales & Channel Management along with directing Sales Operations for the Enterprise and Service Provider Business for CommScope across EMEA. Adrian, as the Sales Director for Enterprise, Building and Networking Solutions, has responsibility for the Business across Ireland.
Adrian has a Business Management Degree from Maynooth College, along with a fellowship from the Accounting Technicians of Ireland after completing his ATI & CIMA Financial studies at Griffith College Dublin.

Matt joined CyrusOne following its acquisition of Zenium Data Centers in 2018. As Managing Director,
Matt was instrumental in establishing Zenium as a leading European data center developer and
operator with best-in-class facilities and a high-quality customer base with an emphasis on
hyperscale cloud companies. At the time of sale Zenium’s portfolio totaled 40,000 sq m of world-
class technical space serving Europe’s two largest data center markets, London and Frankfurt.

Eddie Kilbane is a seasoned Entrepreneur specialising in Data Centre Developments, having developed a number of facilities. Eddie has used his background in main stream construction to bring a different perspective to his and his partners investments, continuously achieving major signings with the largest Co-location companies in the world. Eddie has recently invested in Software, Research and Horticulture companies and supports them in their growth, using his extensive experience in multi disciplines.
Digital Realty -Vice President Emea Accounting
John joined Digital Realty in September 2017 as VP of EMEA Accounting, responsible for the finance teams supporting Digital’s European portfolio of data centres. Before joining Digital Realty John worked with a number of global technology organisations, from Serco Systems in Australia in the mid-1990s, to 11 years with Oracle EMEA Ltd, as well as joining LinkedIn in 2012 as EMEA Financial Director when they set-up their international office in Dublin. When his previous workplace in Clonshaugh transitioned from GE Industrial Diamonds into a data centre, John realised it was time to join the industry!!
EdgeConneX - Global CMO
Phillip Marangella has more than 20 years of strategy, business development and marketing experience working in the telecom, technology and data center sectors. As Chief Marketing Officer at EdgeConneX, Phillip develops and executes the marketing strategy and ecosystem development plans for the company. He previously served as Vice President of Business Development. Prior to joining EdgeConneX, he held senior executive positions in global strategy, marketing and business development for such leading providers as Equinix, CoreSite, Verizon Business and Nortel Networks.
Phillip earned a Master in International Business degree from Boston University and a Bachelor in Political Science degree from the University of California, San Diego.

John Gallagher - Head of Sales at Enel X for UK & Ireland, has worked directly with many of the world’s largest energy users to help solve challenges around when, where and how energy is both consumed and supplied from. John is well placed to assist the data centre community on the next evolutions in energy policy and areas of opportunity as we enter a new phase of decarbonisation. A seasoned sales and management professional with a background in IT and finance, holding roles in a number of financial services and energy firms prior to his instalment as the commercial sales leader for Enel X.
Ethos - CEO
Greg Hayden is the founding CEO of Ethos Engineering.
He has been working in the construction industry since 1987, gaining a wide range of engineering experience in data centres and mission-critical projects as well as sectors including pharmaceutical, micro-electronics, healthcare, commercial and mixed-use developments.
Greg’s experience covers design, value engineering, construction management, commissioning management, sustainable design, auditing and implementation.
Equinix - Managing Director Ireland & Emerging Markets
Maurice is Country Manager for Ireland and VP of Developing Markets. In this role, Maurice oversees the recently acquired TelecityGroup businesses in Turkey, Poland and Bulgaria, whilst still playing a key role in TelecityGroup Ireland’s strategy and expansion. As CEO, Maurice set the vision and strategy for the company, driving consistent business growth during his leadership tenure. With over two decades experience in the data centre sector, Maurice has been a key figure in the rise of the data-centre industry in Ireland and is highly regarded as a thought leader on Ireland’s potential to be a global digital hub.
Eversheds Sutherland - Head of IP, Technology & DP
Marie is a Partner and Head of our Intellectual Property, Technology and Data protection Departments and practises in both contentious and commercial intellectual property and technology matters for a broad range of domestic and international clients. She is also a registered Irish Trade Mark Agent. Marie advises on commercial, regulatory and transactional matters.
Marie has particular experience in intellectual property/technology development, procurement and licensing deals, including managed services, systems integration, technology and business process outsourcing for both domestic and international clients.
Marie also has particular experience in advising on data protection law in the context of a wide range of data protection matters which are relevant to both domestic and international clients, including advising clients on the data protection and privacy aspects of direct marketing initiatives and activities, international data transfers in the context of service agreements and outsourcing, multijurisdictional audits and general data protection compliance.
Interxion - Managing Director Ireland
Séamus joined Interxion in July 2019. Before joining Interxion Séamus held various roles during a successful career with Hewlett-Packard, where his last position was Vice President and General Manager with Hewlett-Packard Enterprise based in both Texas and Ireland. He led the data centre services business which served customers in 170 countries across diverse vertical’s such as financial services, Government , Digital Media etc. His business unit’s focus was supporting customers’ transitions from traditional IT infrastructure to hybrid cloud solutions.
Keddington - Managing Director
Matt is a highly experienced engineer, with 28 years’ experience. A Consulting engineer, Matt joined Kedington in 1995 and became Managing Director in 2003. Matt has a proven track record of growing and developing Kedington’s networking business across several markets and segments. Matt completed a deal to bring Kedington into the ExcelRedstone Group, so now the 3 companies are one of the leading IT Infrastructure companies across Europe, ideally positioned to support their clients in Europe and beyond. Over a decade ago, Matt co-founded a charity in Kenya and he allocates a portion of his time to bringing water, health and education to thousands of children there. He is currently working on an initiative to help five thousand children regain their eye-sight.

Keppel DC - Country Manager Ireland
With over 21 years’ experience of working across the telecoms, data centre, managed services and cloud sector across Europe, Gary Watson was appointed as the Country Manager in 2016 for Keppel Data Centre REIT in Ireland.
Watson’s flourishing career in Data Centres began in the early nineties going on to join TeleCity during the early start-up phase in 1998. Having spent several years rolling out new Data Centre facilities across Europe, he then moved to Ireland to establish and run the Irish business. Watson led and managed seven key data centres and the integration of the three newly merged businesses before moving to Sungard Availability Services as the Country Manager for Ireland. He was also appointed as the European Director of Consulting, leading a large consulting team across Europe delivering Business Continuity, IT/DC transformation and Security engagements to the enterprise.

Anthony takes a practical common sense approach, under-pinned by service excellence and technical knowledge. The experience Anthony has gained over the years comes from working on a broad range of projects including Mixed Use Commercial, Retail and Residential.
MOY Roof Waterproofing - Group Commercial Director
Cathal Quinn was appointed Group Commercial Director with MOY Roof waterproofing system specialists in April of 2019 and is tasked with leading the Group through the commercial landscape. Managing several teams including Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Logistics and Finance, a key element of his role is to define, execute and monitor appropriate sales strategies, business development, marketing, technical operations and sales support programmes to maximise sales and profitability.
Having joined the company in 2005 Quinn has established himself as a key contact within the Mission Critical environment and is highly experienced at identifying client needs and helping solve issues throughout a project programme.

Terry Gillick serves as Sr. Vice President with BVPI and manages its global commissioning operations. His role encompasses oversight of client program management, commissioning program development, and electrical and mechanical system testing. Electrician by trade with over 25 years’ experience in the Electrical / Automation Industry, 15 of these years spent in a highly targeted Sales & Marketing environment, specialising in the delivery and management of fast moving and solution driven product portfolios. Joined Rittal in 2018 from Schneider Electric as National Sales Manager moving to General Manager in 2019. Responsible for driving Rittal’s IE and IT Infrastructure business throughout Ireland.
Schneider Electric - VP ITD UK&I IT Division
Marc Garner is the Vice President of Schneider Electric’s Secure Power Division in the UK and Ireland. He is a 15-year veteran of Schneider Electric having joined the company after graduating from the University of Sunderland with an Honours Degree in Business Administration. In his role Marc is tasked with continuing the successes of Schneider Electric’s Secure Power Division, which provides integrated power, cooling and software solutions for data centres, server rooms and Edge Computing deployments throughout the UK and Ireland. Since joining Schneider Electric, Marc has enjoyed a successful career in sales and marketing roles. He achieved double digit year-on-year growth in his first position as a regional sales engineer after completing the company’s graduate training programme. Subsequently, he has gone to repeat that level of performance to build a strong track record as National Sales Manager for the company’s Cable Management product line, and as National Sales Director for the Specification and Infrastructure Business - where he managed a team of 16 running the business pipeline.
Siemens Ireland - CEO
Gary O’Callaghan has been CEO of Siemens in Ireland since 2015 and had been managing the Siemens energy portfolio since 2008. He previously held management roles in the power transmission and distribution business, and enterprise communications group. Gary represents an organisation that has a long-standing history with Ireland and indeed communications and energy for the island of Ireland. From the first successful transatlantic telegraph cable in 1874 (Ballinskellig bay to North America) to the largest global energy project in 1925 (Arnacrusha), Gary represents a company that can claim to be the earliest seed of the datacentre industry in Ireland and indeed Europe. Gary is a former director and board member of the Irish Wind Energy Association and has experience working with FIT Ltd; a not-for-profit organisation focused on building job-related training programmes for long-term disadvantaged and unemployed young people.
Gary’s understanding of the Energy and Infrastructure industries provides an excellent voice of experience to the HII executive team.
Starline - Regional Sales Manager
Darren Territt has more than 16 years of Electrical and Power Distribution experience, working for Siemens as a Product Manager of LV Products and then with ABB as a Key Account Manager and over the last 3.5 years working with a market leader in the manufacturing of electrical switchgear as a Business and Marketing manager with Davenham Switchgear. During this time, he acquired project based knowledge working on Datacenter projects across all aspects, from sales to marketing and project management and installation. Recently acquired by Starline to build the business as a regional sales manager for Ireland, Darren has also earned during this time at night, a Business Dip with Dublin Business School and recently completed a three-year Higher Cert in Electronic Engineering in TU Dublin.

Jason Monks is Structure Tone’s Director Mission Critical. Jason leads the Mission Critical sector of the Irish business unit, focusing on Ireland and mainland Europe.
He joined Structure Tone in 2007 after 10 years in the main contracting sector and has developed our mission critical and data centre business into one our core sectors. Jason develops and maintains our key account relationships within the industry. Over the years Jason has lead the Mission Critical Team through challenging engineering projects. Jason earned his Bsc Degree in Construction Management from the University of Glamorgan.
