Host In Ireland

Executive Council

Host in Ireland is an industry-led initiative specifically developed to generate awareness and recognition of Ireland’s benefits as an optimum location to host digital assets. Executive Committee members evaluate the performance of the initiative, review, monitor and assess the progress, serve as the advocate for their specific partner companies, and gather input from and serve as a liaison with relevant constituencies.


In addition, Executive Committee members provide feedback from the community, provide technical expertise, serve as an independent, unbiased sounding board, and assist in determining important activities. Other responsibilities that members have had as part of the Executive Council include providing guidance to articulate the goals of the initiative, ensuring effective planning, and enhancing the organization’s public standing.

Co-Founder of Circular Data Solutions Ltd the EMEA distribution partners of Secure IT Engineered Solutions manufacturers and suppliers of NSA approved data destruction equipment to Governments and Commercial organisations.

Mike has focused his business on developing ‘in-house’ and managed services for a range of data destruction solutions. Driven by the need for organisations to ensure the chain of custody of their data is not broken.

He is panellist on all matters relating to ‘end of life data’ within a GDPR framework.

Adrian Hayes

Adrian has over 30 years of experience in the Telecommunications Industry with CommScope holding key roles in Manufacturing Operations, Product Management, Finance Management, Sales & Channel Management along with directing Sales Operations for the Enterprise and Service Provider Business for CommScope across EMEA.  Adrian most recently has taken up the role as Sales Director for Ireland.

 Adrian has a Business Management Degree from Maynooth College, along with a fellowship from the Accounting Technicians of Ireland after completing his ATI & CIMA Financial studies at Griffith College Dublin.

Tesh Durvasula

In his role as president of Europe, Tesh is responsible for creating a European organization that is inclusive of strategy, site selection, sales, construction, design, operations, finance, HR and legal.  Tesh will be instilling the fantastic CyrusOne culture into our European operations as well as helping facilitate the growth in that region. Since his hiring in September 2012 the company’s revenues have more than tripled.  Those gains were generated by a combination of rapid sales growth and the acquisitions of data center providers Sentinel and Cervalis as well as the data center assets of CME Group Inc.’s financial trading campus.  Tesh led the three acquisitions, which totalled over $1 Billion.

Matt Pullen

hyperscale cloud companies. At the time of sale Zenium’s portfolio totaled 40,000 sq m of world-
class technical space serving Europe’s two largest data center markets, London and Frankfurt.

Val Walsh

Valerie Walsh is the Vice President of Asset Management for Digital Realty in EMEA.  She has responsibility for the financial performance of the portfolio of 35 properties in EMEA, ensuring the company maintains continued growth through successful new signings, on-going control of expenses and retaining required returns on capital invested in the region. Over the course of her 10-plus years’ experience with Digital Realty, Ms. Walsh has been actively involved in financial management of each property from inception to full occupancy, which included the development of 16 new data centres, 10 ground-up new developments and 6 redeveloped properties, as well as the integration of large acquired portfolios (Sentrum in 2012 and Cheetah in 2016). 

Eddie Kilbane

Philip O'Doherty

Philip O’Doherty is the Founder and Managing Director at E+I Engineering. Philip studied Electrical Engineering in Queens University Belfast and subsequently worked in DuPont’s Derry factory. In January 1987 Philip set up E+I Engineering in Derry. Since then, the company has specialised in providing power distribution systems for large projects across the globe. E+I Engineering currently has more than 2,000 employees globally working across 4 major manufacturing sites in Ireland, Northern Ireland, USA and UAE.  Data centres continue to be an important industry for E+I Engineering and with more than 20 years’ experience within the industry.

Philip Marangella

Phillip Marangella has more than 20 years of strategy, business development and marketing experience working in the telecom, technology and data center sectors. As Chief Marketing Officer at EdgeConneX, Phillip develops and executes the marketing strategy and ecosystem development plans for the company. He previously served as Vice President of Business Development. Prior to joining EdgeConneX, he held senior executive positions in global strategy, marketing and business development for such leading providers as Equinix, CoreSite, Verizon Business and Nortel Networks.

Phillip earned a Master in International Business degree from Boston University and a Bachelor in Political Science degree from the University of California, San Diego.

Peter Connolly

Maurice Mortell

Seamus Dunne

Séamus joined Interxion in July 2019. Before joining Interxion Séamus held various roles during a successful career with Hewlett-Packard, where his last position was Vice President and General Manager with Hewlett-Packard Enterprise based in both Texas and Ireland. He led the data centre services business which served customers in 170 countries across diverse vertical’s such as financial services, Government , Digital Media etc. His business unit’s focus was supporting customers’ transitions from traditional IT infrastructure to hybrid cloud solutions.

Matt Porter

Matt is a highly experienced engineer, with 28 years’ experience. A Consulting engineer, Matt joined Kedington in 1995 and became Managing Director in 2003.    Matt has a proven track record of growing and developing Kedington’s networking business across several markets and segments.  Matt completed a deal to bring Kedington into the ExcelRedstone Group, so now the 3 companies are one of the leading IT Infrastructure companies across Europe, ideally positioned to support their clients in Europe and beyond. Over a decade ago, Matt co-founded a charity in Kenya and he allocates a portion of his time to bringing water, health and education to thousands of children there. He is currently working on an initiative to help five thousand children regain their eye-sight.

Gary Watson

With over 21 years’ experience of working across the telecoms, data centre, managed services and cloud sector across Europe, Gary Watson was appointed as the Country Manager in 2016 for Keppel Data Centre REIT in Ireland. 

Watson’s flourishing career in Data Centres began in the early nineties going on to  join TeleCity during the early start-up phase in 1998. Having spent several years rolling out new Data Centre facilities across Europe, he then moved to Ireland to establish and run the Irish business. Watson led and managed seven key data centres and the integration of the three newly merged businesses before moving to Sungard Availability Services as the Country Manager for Ireland.  He was also appointed as the European Director of Consulting, leading a large consulting team across Europe delivering Business Continuity, IT/DC transformation and Security engagements to the enterprise.

Mark Flanagan

Terry Gillick

Terry Gillick is Division President of Primary Integration Solutions, Inc, and responsible for the commissioning business operations. He holds over 30 years of MEP-T design and commissioning experience, working in mission critical, healthcare, and pharmaceutical facilities. Terry is a national thought leader in the commissioning of mission critical facilities and extremely knowledgeable in the engineering and specification of sophisticated building automation, UPS, emergency power, defensive filtration, telecommunications, security systems, and precision cooling. He has managed the design and commissioning for a number of high profile and prestigious projects, including IBM Leadership Data Center, several Bank of America Data Center facilities, and numerous government classified data centers.

Ciaran Hyland

Primary Integration - Vice President

Ciaran Hyland is a native of Dublin, Ireland. Ciaran is the Vice President of the EMEA region and
responsible for the daily operations of the EMEA business unit.  Ciaran’s responsibilities include resource
management, project management, electrical and mechanical system testing, test procedure designs
and the production of technical documents. He holds over 16 years of construction and commissioning
experience in technical facilities.
Ciaran holds a Mechanical Engineering from the Institute of Engineering, Dublin.

Marc Garner

Responsible for managing a national team targeting Schneider Electric's consultant customers and a second team targeting our Rail customer base. Managing 9 direct reports and responsible for ensuring we create a robust funnel of work which will mature into a realistic / feasible pipeline and orders. Initial responsibilities included putting the team together and developing our strategic sales plan. On a day to day basis roles include  spending approximately 40% of the day coaching and developing the team and 40% working with key accounts to ensure we exceed our customer expectations.

Gavan Plunkett joined Siemens in January 2016 as a Global Account Manager working with major international key accounts for the design, build and operation of their data centres throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa. Gavan is responsible for development, profitable growth, collaboration and life cycle management within the data centre market for all of Siemens Solutions Portfolio, including Building Automation, Fire, Security, DCIM, Energy Management Solutions, LV/MV/HV and Busway. Prior to joining Siemens, Gavan spent 17 years in the IT and telecommunications industries, having worked with BT and Colt Technology Services. Within these positions, Gavan was focused heavily on data centre solutions.

Seamus Cussen

Darren Territ

Darren Territt has more than 16 years of Electrical and Power Distribution experience, working for Siemens as a Product Manager of LV Products and then with ABB as a Key Account Manager and over the last 3.5 years working with a market leader in the manufacturing of electrical switchgear as a Business and Marketing manager with Davenham Switchgear. During this time, he acquired project based knowledge working on Datacenter projects across all aspects, from sales to marketing and project management and installation. Recently acquired by Starline to build the business as a regional sales manager for Ireland, Darren has also earned during this time at night, a Business Dip with Dublin Business School and recently completed a three-year Higher Cert in Electronic Engineering in TU Dublin.
