Key Purpose of the Role:

This role will require strong problem-solving skills, a high level of detail, and excellent communication abilities. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth customer interactions and maintaining accuracy and ownership within quotations. This role requires a high degree of internal liaison with department leaders and engineers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Generating crucial customer quotations from specifications and drawings

  • Supporting the internal sales team across Europe with technical support as needed.

  • Analyse customer requirements, technical specifications, and drawings to determine appropriate pricing and solutions.

  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to gather necessary information and ensure alignment between customer needs and proposed solutions.

  • Assessing incoming requests for quotations from customers, ensuring all necessary details and specifications are included.

  • Maintain comprehensive records of quotations, pricing, and correspondence with customers for future reference and analysis.

  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor pricing strategies, and industry developments to adjust pricing and quoting strategies accordingly.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in the quotation process to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering (or similar) and/or relevant working experience.

  • Preparing a Bill of Materials (BOM) for customers

  • Solid and stable experience in a quotations or estimator role that involves a high level of initiative, problem solving and coordination would be highly regarded

  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not prerequisite.

  • Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to navigate complex customer and stakeholder conversations.

  • A passion for collaboration; a highly collaborative, team player within both the direct team and organisation
