ABOUT THE ROLE

Based on-site in our dynamic and diverse Head Office in Dublin 10 you will take a lead role in problem-solving, supporting, and coaching using recognised lean initiatives such as RCA, 5 Why’s and 8D. This role will work closely with Manufacturing & Engineering.

This role is office-based, Monday to Friday in Ballyfermot within our bustling head office. We have plenty of off-site parking and we are a 15-minute stroll to the LUAS stop.

THE HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER ROLE

As the HSE Manager, you'll be responsible for refining current procedures, staying compliant with regulations, and driving continuous improvement in safety across the site. From conducting risk assessments to ensuring ISO compliance, you'll play a crucial role in fostering a culture of safety and excellence. You will also be:

  • Owning current HSE procedures and policies, applying and developing new practices to ensure they comply with legislation. Advise on all current and future HSE legislation and proactively communicate and improve safety across the site.

  • Carrying out new risk assessments and COSHH assessments on products and processes, considering how risks can be reduced and ensuring agreed review dates are met.

  • Fully investigating all accidents and incidents, reporting injuries to relevant parties, and advise on improvements to reduce similar incidents.

  • Advising on all other aspects of HSE including (but not limited to) fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational health.

  • Implement HSE goals and objectives through an ambitious road map with targeted periodic milestones

  • Ensuring that we develop and are fully compliant with all ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements by conducting regular internal audits.

  • Previous experience within a Health, Safety & Environmental role is essential, manufacturing experience would be highly regarded

  • NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Environmental or a degree related to HSE would be advantageous.

  • Must have a persistent manner and be able to succeed in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels and drive all aspects of HSE matters forward.

  • Knowledge of key HSE legislation and its application in practical terms.
