This is an exciting time to join Enel X. Our mission is to assist business customers in decarbonising and using energy more efficiently. We believe that the decentralisation of energy generation is the future and optimising distributed energy assets and providing access and revenues from flexibility and energy markets is key to creating value for our Customers.
To further grow our business in Ireland, Enel X has an immediate need for a for a Commercial Sales Lead to join our UK & Ireland sales organization.
Enel X is a leader in providing flexibility services from UPS, Battery Energy Storage Systems and other assets located at Data Center sites.
The Commercial Sales Lead will be responsible for developing and winning new Flexibility deals by leveraging our existing network of partners and building new partnerships with suppliers to large energy intensive businesses.
This role reports to the Head of B2B Sales for UK & Ireland. It requires a confident and professional self starter who is comfortable interfacing with C-level leadership in large global multinationals. The candidate needs to be focused on meeting the customer’s needs in a dynamic business environment. They must be proactive in lead generation and closing business and have proven success in progressing segment led accounts, navigating complex sales processes, and managing multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Promote Enel X as provider of flexibility solutions which allow customers to generate value from their existing and new energy assets
• Develop a strategy to retain and grow our flexibility portfolio in Ireland
• Establish yourself as the face of Enel X and the primary point of contact with existing partners within 6 months of starting.
• Extend existing Partner agreements and Flexibility sales in line with agreed targets
• Identify & establish new partnerships in Ireland & the UK
• Review & redefine our partner strategy with metrics for engagement, experience and value created for both the customer and Enel X proposing ways to structure the engagement to reduce Enel X cost to serve.
• Strategically map sales account plans with partner companies and develop in depth sales proposals to deliver new business and margin targets, negotiate and close contracts.
• Work with Enel X's marketing & communications teams on ways to communicate product successes with partners.
• Use existing and future Enel X internal applications for transparent sales pipeline management and progress reporting; close team work with Enel X Sales Operations, Legal and Administrative functions;
• Create, develop and obtain approval for customer proposals and commercial offers;
• Arrange and review commercial deals for New Sales & Renewals.
• Work closely with Customer Success Manager for commercial reviews and account plans.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of a B.A. or B.S. degree, ideally in a technical engineering discipline;
• At least 7 years of B2B sales experience, selling into large commercial or industrial businesses
• Sales background in data centre industry and / or flexibility or distributed energy solutions;
• Sales experience with providers of other distributed energy resources (incl. CHP, Solar PV, battery storage, back up generation etc.) considered;
• A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets;
• Evidence of having successfully built strong relations and led channel partnerships with leading businesses in the energy solutions space;
• Ability to illustrate value in a technical and commercial data-driven approach to C-level decision makers, as well as interacting with facilities managers and engineers;
• Must be able to work as part of our team with autonomy and be capable of delivery – offering highly technical solutions to some of the world’s leading companies require a strong aptitude for learning and an adaptive approach to managing the sales cycle.
