ABOUT THE ROLE
To ensure that our business adheres to all tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Role Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all tax compliance and reporting requirements for the group
Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position and minimize tax liabilities.
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international tax laws and regulations.
Prepare and review tax returns, financial statements, and other tax-related documents.
Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors to resolve any tax-related issues or disputes.
Provide tax advice and support to senior management and other departments within the company.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company’s operations.
Conduct tax research and analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning.
Manage Global Mobility Items including but not limited to:
Overseeing tax compliance and planning for employees on international assignments.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations in both home and host countries.
Provide tax advice and support to employees on international assignments, including tax equalization and expatriate tax policies.
Coordinate with HR and the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of compensation and benefits for globally mobile employees.
Monitor changes in global mobility tax regulations and assess their impact on the company’s operations.
Monitor changes in compliance regulations and assess their impact on the company’s operations.
Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure timely and accurate reporting of compliance-related information.
Compliance Management:
Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance issues.
Provide training and support to employees on compliance-related matters.
Monitor changes in compliance regulations and assess their impact on the company’s operations.
Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure timely and accurate reporting of compliance-related information
The Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional tax qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA) is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax, experience dealing with the construction or general contracting industry would be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of European tax laws and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in accounting / tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
