ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the General Manager the Install Manager oversees and takes responsibility of the operational success of the Installation function for Ireland. This role will sit as part of the Irish senior leadership team and requires the successful incumbent to report on both a local and European level providing a best in class Installation service with a strong commercial acumen.

Specific Knowledge

  • Experience in delivering projects (value up to €10 million) from design stage to completion

  • Candidates must be capable of taking responsibility for a number of projects concurrently, as required.

Professional Experience

  • Third level qualification in a construction related field coupled with at least 15 years post graduate experience, 5-10 years in a Project Management role with a recognised Security integrator

  • Proven record of delivering large scale Commercial, Industrial or Pharmaceutical projects

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally with the confidence to influence key stakeholders to drive the Installation strategy forward

  • Demonstrates strong commercial savvy with an electrical background is highly desirable

  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in the data centre’s physical security. This includes PEN tests (Penetration tests) to evaluate threats like unauthorized access, environmental hazards, and system failures.

  • Critical Path analysis – Implement project controls to identify critical path and highlight any dependencies to ensure the Project flows

  • Mitigation Strategies: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including redundancy plans, disaster recovery and continuous system monitoring to ensure the integrity of the Data Centre.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all security systems and procedures comply with local laws, data protection regulations, and industry standards relevant to data centres.

  • Audit Preparation: Prepare for and assist with internal and external security audits, providing necessary documentation and system access as required.

  • Final Inspection: Conduct a final inspection to ensure all systems are fully operational, and that the project meets all specified requirements and standards.

  • Documentation: Complete all project documentation, including as-built drawings, system configurations, and operational manuals, ensuring they are accessible for future reference.

  • Post-Project Review: Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and potential areas for improvement in future projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple project teams throughout North and South of Ireland with some international locations to ensure that contracts are completed on programme and on budget to the desired specification.

  • Manage the compliance of company and current health & safety legislation.

  • Supporting the project management & control of contract costs & variations with regular reporting of cost projections & status to the Projects Director and Finance Controller.

  • Management & assessment of subcontractor’s quality of work & their ability to maintain scope programme.

  • Cost Management: Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring that costs are controlled, and any deviations/variations are recorded and actioned in line with the client procedures. This includes cost estimation, financial tracking, and reporting.

  • Vendor Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best pricing and service levels for security equipment and installation services.

  • Management of programme risk & experience of early interaction with design teams to ensure design deliverable dates & details are achieved.

  • Maintain an excellent relationship with the management team, subcontractors, and clients.

  • Take a proactive role in the pre-sales and pre-bid process

  • Key contributor to the S&OP process

  • Planning/scheduling of works.

  • Must be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.

  • IT fluency and familiar with MS packages and MS Project (or similar scheduling packages).

  • Partner with the Senior Leadership Team and represent the Install function during relevant meetings.

  • Partner with HR and all people related projects, commit to the ongoing success of the quarterly and year end performance review (OPR) process to drive the business agenda and proactively live the Securitas Technology values.
