ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Lead to join Suir Engineering. The position will be based in our Waterford or Dublin office with a Hybrid working model.


Overall Role Objective

As a Business Development Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our organisation by identifying and nurturing key accounts and maintaining strong client relationships. You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, expanding our customer base, and maximising revenue through strategic sales efforts and client management.

What you will be doing?

  • Research and identify potential key accounts within the target market

  • Develop and implement strategies to acquire and onboard key accounts

  • Build a robust pipeline of prospective key clients through lead generation and networking

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients

  • Act as the main point of contact for key accounts, understanding their unique needs and specific requirements

  • Anticipate and address client concerns or issues proactively to ensure client satisfaction

  • Collaborate with the stakeholders within Suir to devise effective sales strategies

  • Negotiate business deals with key clients

  • Meet and exceed sales targets by consistently growing revenue from key accounts

  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities

  • Analyse market data to identify opportunities for business growth and improvement of services

  • Work closely with site teams to understand key account needs and provide customised solutions

  • Present tailored proposals and solutions that address key account requirements

  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and communication

  • Prepare reports and updates for stakeholders on key account activities and achievements

  • Gather feedback from key accounts and incorporate it into Suir’s service improvements

  • Continuously seek ways to enhance the key account management process and overall client satisfaction

Is this the job for me?

  • Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field

  • At least 5 years in business development, key account management, or sales roles

  • Strong understanding of the construction industry

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strategic thinking, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities

  • Self-motivated, driven, and results oriented

  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings
