Institute of Technology Sligo's "Introduction to Lean Sigma Quality" Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) starts with an introductory week commencing on May 4th 2020 and runs until June 28th, 2020. Keppel announced a comprehensive package worth more than $4.2 million to help the Singapore community weather COVID-19, funded by voluntary contributions from the Keppel Group directors, senior management and staff, with dollar-for-dollar matching contributions from Keppel  Corporation.  This comes on the back of the Company’s earlier donation of over $900,000 to support Singapore and international efforts to mitigate the impact of COVID-19.

Keppel Land Ltd & Keppel REIT Management have rolled out a series of measures in support of their tenants during the Covid 19 outbreak, including  passing on the full property tax rebate of 30% to their office tenants, as well as fully passing on the 100% property tax rebate savings over April & May 2020 to their retail tenants in Singapore. These are in addition to the measures that were rolled out in March 2020, which include the utilisation of one month’s security deposit to offset rent payment and the deferment of rent payment within the month for eligible retail tenants, as well as flexible operating hours.

In response to the economic and community challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, CyrusOne Inc., a premier global data center real estate investment trust (REIT), on behalf of all its employees, is donating $250,000 in addition to personal donations from CyrusOne’s leadership team, and a $50,000 personal donation from CyrusOne’s President and CEO, Tesh Durvasula, to Feeding America®, Member Food Bank, the North Texas Foodbank, as well as charities in Europe. The donations will help fund millions of meals for people in need.

CBRE Group, Inc. has launched a COVID-19 Relief Fund to support community and employee needs around the world.

The campaign will raise a minimum of $15 million, with a foundational donation from the company of $10 million, plus an employee contribution program. The company will match employee contributions at a dollar-for-dollar rate or greater, if necessary, to meet the $15 million minimum.

Keppel are participating in the 'BYOBclean' event, which is part of Temasek Foundation’s 'StayPrepared' initiative, that will provide up to half a litre of free zero alcohol hand sanitiser to all Singaporean households. Volunteers from across the Keppel Group were joined by Dr Lee Boon Yang, Chairman of Keppel Corporation and distributed the hand sanitiser to members of the public at Funan Mall in early April

Keppel Volunteers in Shanghai are contributing to the fight against Covid 19, by delivering Keppel’s second batch of medical supplies - a total of 20,000 masks, to hospitals in Shanghai. This is part of Keppel’s donation of €400,000 through the Shanghai Charity Foundation to provide medical supplies to regions affected by COVID-19 in China. Keppel are proud to do their part to help our community stay safe and healthy amidst the current outbreak.

ABB is joining forces with the International Committee of the Red Cross - ICRC & will make an initial contribution of  €1 million to the ICRC COVID19 effort and thereafter, the ABB Group will match 1:1 all donations made by its employees around the world. The money will be used to provide infrastructure for healthcare centers, sanitation infrastructure, and crucial items such as soap and masks.

Mercury has donated an assortment of vital PPE - Personal Protective Equipment to St James Hospital and the Dublin Fire Brigade as Ireland’s emergency services continue to battle the COVID-19 pandemic. On Friday April 3rd, Mercury delivered 500 pairs of gloves, 50 protective gowns and 60 litres of sanitizer to St James Hospital and a donation of masks and gloves was made to the Dublin Fire Brigade on Friday March 27th. This donation highlights Mercury’s dedication to maintaining the highest possible standards of health & safety.

There is a growing shortage of medical devices necessary to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Siemens are opening their AM Network Platform to everyone who requires medical device design or print services at no charge. Through their network, you can reach designers and suppliers worldwide who will prepare the parts needed to keep your medical center running, by connecting 3D print services to fight COVID-19.

CommScopes Infrastructure plant in Bray recently shipped urgent Networking Solutions to support the rapid deployment of testing facilities in Ireland.   Their plant in Buchdorf, Germany has also been supporting 3D printed face shields for our vital front line workers.

Power management company Eaton is leveraging expertise in additive manufacturing and its partnership with Cleveland’s Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network (MAGNET) to rapidly develop face shields for hospitals. The first batch of face shields  were donated on April 9th to hospitals. Eaton was able to quickly develop a face shield design that is comfortable for extended wear, maximizes facial protection and can be sanitized and reused for a period of time, providing an advantage over current models

In support of the incredible work being done by our health workers, to protect us and our communities against COVID-19, Kirby donated a significant amount of critical PPE equipment to the HSE, including over 500 FFP3 masks, 750 protective suits and 20L of hand sanitizer.

Philly spoke at lengths about his incredible playing career and provided our staff with tips on fitness, motivation and on how best to overcome adverse situations. The Ballymun native says that people should use the COVID-19 pandemic as a time to build up good habits and to add structure to their lives.
